Joel Riff Joins Spoken Translation, Inc. as VP, Business Development

Joel Riff has joined Spoken Translation, Inc. (“STI”) as Vice President, Business Development. A Silicon Valley veteran dealmaker, Joel has worked with many of the area’s major technology corporations and overseas multinational corporations in their strategic intellectual property transactions. He has also represented countless early stage companies in their strategic deals with much larger entities.

At STI, Joel will take the lead in building win-win relationships with strategic customers and with the company’s key technology partners. He will utilize his many years of experience in structuring and negotiating the deals that will carry these relationships through the period when STI productizes its technology for the industries that the company has targeted and the company becomes a worldwide leader in machine translation technology.

Mark Seligman, STI’s founder and CEO, believes that Joel’s energy and experience will be instrumental in developing the key relationships that will take the company into the future: “It's a pleasure and a comfort to have Joel on the job. Joel is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of Chicago Law School.  He has been a partner at some of the nation’s premier law firms and was a software specialist for several years.
